Greenhouse Tech Hub Logo Signage
AOD repurposed thousands of plastic bottle caps to create three colourful variations of Greenhouse’s logo, one each (red, blue and green) for the three levels of the Greenhouse Tech Hub, a stunning climate tech coworking space inside Salesforce Tower in the Sydney CBD.
Conceived by brand agency Toast, each letter ‘g’ installation intentionally transitions from a more neutral, earthy palette at the bottom to a more vibrant colour at the top. From a distance it is apparent that each ‘g’ is textured in some way, but it isn’t until one approaches the wall that it becomes clearer that the medium is bottle caps. Upon closer inspection of the organic patterns and contours, one discovers the uniqueness of the individual caps and lids and can speculate about their origin. While reading as one colour from afar, each ‘g’ rewards a bit of zooming in and out on the part of the viewer to appreciate the many shades and tints of each hue and the pops of different colours integrated into the overall work.
The vast majority of the bottle tops were sourced locally from Banish and Reverse Garbage Cooperative. Shout out to these two great local businesses! Both fantastic resources for learning more about plastic waste and creative reuse.
Really pleased with how this turned out, and it was such a fun collaboration with TOAST and for a great client in Greenhouse.
